My friend, who's single, talked about his observations. "It seems to me that when two people get together for a certain period of time, the focus would shift from enjoying the romance to preserving the relationship, with increasing efforts. But now I prefer to spend the energy on other goals in life..."
Though I didn't show, I was shocked. The bullet hit my heart. Acutely.
